Matt Gilbert

Hello, shoozhrii Matt Gilbert ooshii. Thanks for visiting this website. I'm a writer, filmmaker, and business man. I've worked in Interior Alaska, Southeast Alaska, Albuquerque, Anchorage, New York City, and Fairbanks, Alaska. I am Gwich'in Athabascan originally from Arctic Village, Alaska. I grew up in Arctic Village and lived most of my life there, but have worked all over the country and have even studied at Oxford in England.

I have a Bachelors Degree in English-Rhetoric and Literature and studied under award-winning authors, until I became one myself. I have two books published by two different publishers and one more to come. I am a former journalist, columnist, scientist, and teacher who has taught high school english and Gwich'in language classes. I have been a guest speaker in many college classes and have done popular book signings.
